With the fine rain of August

Con la lluvia finísima de agosto written by Alí Calderón
Translated from the Spanish by Verónica González

With the fine rain of August
flashes of lightning carved in light arrived
Misty grays and sepias
catch
	with great density
the clarity of the day
Under the thunder cedar trunks vibrate
and the evanescent green foliage
showers its flowers on the ground
The showers dispose of impurities
of all blemishes in the sky
and under the starry and translucent indigo
invisible like the night cloaked in clouds
like the crisp aura of the impalpable wind
intimate and sweet
	the spirit wanders.
